NEW Added an AI Assistant to enhance PDF workflows with AI-powered search, summaries, explanations, and interactive document assistance.

AI Assistant is a new plugin for PDF-XChange Editor that adds a document-aware AI panel to help users understand, summarize, and analyze PDF content more efficiently. Users can ask questions about the currently opened document or choose from a set of ready-made actions, including summaries, simplified explanations, contact information extraction, key date detection, task and deadline extraction, fact listing, inconsistency checks, risk highlighting, and insight or recommendation generation. The Assistant supports OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google AI models and is designed to improve reading, review, research, and information extraction workflows without requiring users to copy document text into an external tool.

NEW Add a FreeSign tool that enables adding signatures and initials directly to a page.

NEW Added a signature markup tool, which enables the creation of places in documents where requested persons can add signatures, initials etc.

NEW Added enhanced Open/Save file dialogs to provide seamless, consistent navigation across multiple local and cloud storage locations.

NEW Reworked and replaced the 3D plugin with a version that supports BREP models and improves 3D model navigation.

NEW Introduced the ability to search files directly in connected cloud storage.

NEW The optimizer will now discard duplicates of images in comments.

For the "Optimize PDF" operation, the ability to discard duplicate images not only in content but also in comments has been added.

NEW The optimizer now optimizes images in comments.

For the "PDF Optimization" operation in the "Images" tab added option "Apply to Comments". If it is selected, images in comments will also be optimized.

NEW The optimizer now has the option to flatten fields and markup comments.

For the "Optimize PDF" operation, the ability to flatten Form Fields and Markup comments has been added.
